How the Kapex Marketplace works

Policies for buyers and sellers. These summaries are drafts pending legal review; the full terms will apply once published.

1. Find a productSearch or browse categories. Each listing shows its seller, verification status, and whether you can buy now, request a quote, make an offer or contact the seller.
2. Agree termsBuy stocked items at the listed price, or compare written quotations and offers. Every negotiation step is recorded with a timestamp.
3. Place the orderOne order, split into a fulfilment record for each seller. No payment is taken at checkout; Kapex sends a pro-forma invoice.
4. Pay and trackSellers start processing only after Kapex verifies your payment. Dispatch, tracking references and delivery are recorded on your order.
5. After-sales supportRequest a return or report a problem from a delivered order. Kapex reviews every request and records each decision.
Bulk and project ordersUse Request a Quote to invite several approved sellers in a category, attach specifications and compare their quotations side by side.

Each seller sets its own shipping origins and options: pickup, local delivery, parcel or freight. Bulky and international shipments are quoted per destination.

We don’t show shipping rates, delivery dates or customs charges until the seller or Kapex logistics confirms them in writing. Duties and import taxes are usually paid by the buyer and depend on the destination country.

Tracking updates are labelled with their source. Updates entered by a seller or by Kapex are marked as manually recorded; live carrier tracking is shown only where a carrier integration is connected.

Each seller publishes a return policy on its storefront and listings. Where a listing has no policy of its own, the storefront policy applies.

To request a return, open the delivered order in My account and choose Request a return or report a problem. Select a reason, describe the issue and upload photos or inspection reports.

Kapex reviews the request with the seller. If a return is authorised, the seller confirms return instructions. A refund is issued only after the outcome is decided and the payment arrangement allows it, and you are notified when it is actually processed.

Every seller is approved by Kapex before listing. “Verified seller” means Kapex has also checked business registration and identity documents. “Verification incomplete” sellers are approved to list but have not finished document checks.

If a return request cannot be agreed, it can be escalated to a dispute. Kapex reviews the evidence from both sides and records a decision with reasons. Outcomes depend on the published marketplace terms and the payment method used; no outcome is guaranteed in advance.

Never pay a seller outside the order’s pro-forma invoice. Report suspicious listings or messages from the listing page or your messages.

Individuals and businesses can apply. Applications are reviewed by Kapex; submitting documents does not verify an account. Verification documents are private and never shown publicly.

Every listing is moderated before publication. Prohibited items are blocked. Restricted categories, such as medical and laboratory equipment, need regulatory documents for the destination market.

A category commission is deducted from each completed sub-order. Payouts become eligible when payment is verified and delivery is confirmed, and are marked Paid only after a confirmed transfer reference is recorded.
Can I pay by card or mobile money?

Not yet. Card and mobile-money payments will be enabled once a payment provider is confirmed. Today, orders are paid by bank transfer against a pro-forma invoice.

Is the listed price final?

Buy Now prices are the item price. Shipping, duties and taxes are confirmed on the pro-forma invoice. Quote and offer prices are agreed with the seller.

Do I need an account?

You can browse without one. To order, request quotes, make offers, message sellers or apply to sell, sign in with your Kapex account — the same account works in the customer portal.

Can Kapex source a product that isn’t listed?

Yes. Send a sourcing enquiry through the Kapex Mobility website or contact us directly.
